Taxes & Tariffs

BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, LARGELY FROM COUNTRIES THAT HAVE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF THE UNITED STATES FOR MANY YEARS, LAUGHING ALL THE WAY, WILL START FLOWING INTO THE USA,” he wrote on Truth Social.

What’s so TRUE about lies! The illusion of truth effect is a cognitive bias that causes people to believe that a statement is true if they’ve heard it repeated many times. This effect can occur even if the statement is false, implausible, or from a questionable source. This is a literary technique that was used by Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi Propaganda Minister.

He can put it in all caps, he can post it 10 times a day, but by the admission of his own Treasury secretary, it’s American businesses who are writing the check for those billions. Consumers are already feeling the squeeze, and it stands to get a lot worse.

This is the Dunning-Kruger Affect: When you know almost nothing you think you know almost everything. This government statistics aren’t about making a narcissistic sociopath look good. It’s about making sure business and industry have the correct data to make the country run better, and Wall Street to function better.

The firing prompted swift criticism from economists, former government officials and others, who said the removal would further erode trust in government statistics and make it more difficult for policymakers, investors and businesses, who rely on having dependable data about the economy to make decisions. In addition to the monthly jobs numbers, the Bureau of Labor Statistics is responsible for producing data on inflation, wages and other aspects of the economy.

So, now we’re going to move into an era where investors and businesses can’t trust data because you’ll be fired if you make Trump look bad. To quote Coolidge, “The business of America is business.” Well, in order for people to make money and solid decisions, they need actual information. Now investors and corporations — many of who voted for this man — are going to suffer for this man’s vanity. As if the tarrifs weren’t enough. How much longer can the power in this country tolerate the destruction of institutions they rely on? How much is it worth in lower taxes when you start bringing in less money?

This fool is not going to be happy until he burns down the entire US economy. Hopefully, CEOs start to find their brave voices and speak out against all of Trump’s detrimental policies.

If you want people to stop trusting the numbers coming out of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, firing the person who is confirmed by the Senate to make sure those numbers are trustworthy is a real good way to do it,” said Martha Gimbel, the executive director of the Budget Lab at Yale, who served in the White House under Mr. Biden.

President Trump said on social media on Friday that he had directed his team to fire Erika McEntarfer, the commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The disparity owes largely to the fact that Republicans aim to pay for their tax cuts by slashing programs for the poor, including Medicaid and food stamps. The cuts amount to one of the largest retrenchments in the federal safety net in a generation. Over 77 million people will be negatively affected by this bill. And these menopausal mendacious law makers are trying to convince themselves that it is good for YOU. And convince us by association. Tell me how the working class, which amounts to paid slaver, is to pay for the working of government. Government ONLY works from the races they collect from the taxpayers. The bad thing is that the rich and super rich only want to keep their money and not contribute to the government, which is their fair contribution just as the working “poor”.
